Seamus is an incredibly special horse every way.

Holly and Bill Becker bought him as a very green 6-year-old for Clark in May of 2005 and he was imported from England.

Seamus is definitely the wise man of the stables. He’s got a face you could never forget with dark brown eyes that can see right through you, and tall intelligent ears that can hear the feed room door open or the crinkle of a peppermint wrapper from a mile away.

He has always had an uncanny sense of self and refuses to be pushed beyond his comfort zone. As a young horse, he was willing and defiant in the same moment when it came to progressing through the levels. At that time, Clark was also young and insistent, and had many a discussion with Seamus often ended the same way - with both horse and rider mad.

Clark learned over the course of riding him that when he is confident he will turn himself inside out for Clark. When he doesn't trust and Clark doesn't have him on side, nothing good will come of it.

Unfortunately, Seamus has had a nagging injury since late in 2009, though things are looking very positive now. And Clark notes, "Believe me, I would give anything to have the chance to show him all that I have learned over the past couple of years." -Clark
